Grounded, trauma-informed somatic practices designed to regulate your nervous system, release stored stress, and restore felt safety in your body.
Your nervous system holds the key to how you experience stress, safety, and emotional balance. Through gentle somatic regulation, breathwork, and body-centered awareness, we help you step out of fight, flight, or shutdown and return to a state of ease. Whether joining us in-person at our Indianapolis sanctuary or through remote sessions from anywhere in the world, every session is paced entirely to your comfort and boundaries.
Tailored somatic practices designed to build stress resilience, release physical tension, and restore mind-body harmony.
"Somatic" comes from the Greek word soma, meaning the living body. Somatic Regulation is a body-centered approach to stress management that works directly with your nervous system. Instead of focusing solely on thoughts, somatic practices focus on physical sensations, breath patterns, and bodily posture to communicate safety to your brain and body, helping you move out of chronic stress, fight-or-flight, or feeling overwhelmed.
While traditional massage focuses primarily on physical muscle tissue and mind-based approaches focus on cognitive thoughts, Somatic Regulation bridges the connection between body awareness and the nervous system. It teaches you how to recognize and track physical stress signals in real time using somatic tools (such as breathwork, grounding movement, and vagus nerve support) to help your body process and release stored stress safely.
A trauma-informed approach means your physical safety, consent, and personal agency are prioritized at every moment. We never force deep release or push your body past its comfort threshold. You are always in full control of the session—choosing the pace, movement, touch (if in-person), and focus that feels supportive and grounding for you.
Every session is tailored to your current energy and nervous system state. A session typically begins with a calm check-in to map where your body is holding stress. From there, we guide you through gentle somatic tracking, breathwork, grounding posture work, or subtle movement. Clients often leave feeling more centered, physically relaxed, clear-headed, and equipped with simple tools to use in daily life.
Remote somatic sessions are conducted live via video and are highly effective. Because somatic regulation focuses on self-awareness, guided breath, and learning how your own nervous system responds, video sessions allow you to practice and integrate these powerful regulation tools directly in the comfort and privacy of your own home environment.
Absolutely. The SoulTrine approach is centered on stress reduction, natural balance, and building daily resilience. Whether you are navigating chronic daily stress, professional burnout, mental fatigue, or simply feeling disconnected from your body, somatic regulation offers practical, non-denominational tools to help you reclaim calm and grounded vitality.
No. Somatic Regulation is a body-centered wellness and stress-management practice, not clinical mental health treatment. While learning to track physical stress and ground your nervous system complements overall personal well-being, somatic sessions are non-clinical and do not involve psychiatric diagnosis or cognitive therapy. We encourage clients to work alongside licensed healthcare and mental health professionals for any clinical mental health needs.
